IT’S the most prestigious tournament on the 8-Ball Pool calendar and now you too can have a chance to compete in the final stages of the World Championships at Blackpool.
Indeed, as well as playing for a share of a £17,500 prize fund, if lady luck smiles, then you could progress to the televised stages of an event steeped in history and tradition.

The biggest World Championship qualifier of its kind gets underway later this month (May) and now is the time to sign up.

World Qualifiers 2012

A total of 26 clubs, from Cardiff to Croydon, Aberdeen to Brighton, are staging qualifiers, including 12 Rileys venues. One player from each venue is guaranteed to progress to Blackpool’s Imperial Hotel and receive a minimum two free nights’ accommodation.
The first qualifying tournament takes place at Greens Sports Bar, Dumfries on May 13. The last qualifier goes ahead at Penrith’s O’Neils Sports Lounge on June 5.

Depending on entry numbers some clubs may promote two players to the finals venue in June.
Entry costs just £20-00 with forms and cheques sent to: World Championship Pool Office, 20 South View, Bamford, Rochdale, Lancashire, OL 11 5HU.
